cosplay for anyone and everyone

For this post, I wanted to shed light on the discrimination in the anime and cosplay community. For a community that can be incredibly accepting it can also be really alienating. Cosplay has been around forever and there are some fandoms that will exclude people because of the color of their skin. Regardless of skin color, anyone can be any fictional character they want to be. The hashtag #BlackCosplayerHere was started to fight back those who would hate and bully cosplayers. I am not black but as person of color I can see they way black cosplayers are treated worse than any other POC. They are treated with no respect.

The cosplay community needs and should want to be better. Everyone should be embracing everyone's individual take of their favorite characters.

Stand up for each other! Block and report those who troll black cosplayers on the internet.

Now that I've shed some light in the cosplay community, I wanted to lighten up the mood by sharing my favorite cosplayer! Her IG name is Snitchery and all of her cosplay is amazing!
